Money, in plain words
What is the whole bill?
A headline price is only a starting question. Find out what it covers, how long it lasts, and what sits beside it.
Put every part of the bill together
First ask which price you are seeing
A published list price differs from a cash offer, a discount-card amount, a payment through insurance, or a charge under a government program.
As of September 2026, those are distinct prices for branded weight and diabetes medicines; none is a universal quote for peptide care.
A cash offer means paying outside insurance. A copay means the part you pay through an insurance or program arrangement.
Separate care charges from medicine charges
Online weight-care pricing reviewed in September 2026 commonly separated a membership fee from the medicine charge.
- Ask what the first visit costs.
- Ask what a normal membership period costs.
- Ask whether follow-up visits and messages are included.
- Ask whether tests and shipping are separate.
- Ask how much you would be charged if a prescription is not issued.
Request a written total for getting started and a written total for continuing. Leave any unknown charge marked unknown.
Check how the price changes over time
A real example: the headline can end
The semaglutide (Ozempic) injection offer’s terms, checked in September 2026, charge $199 per supply for each of the first two monthly prescriptions.
The offer is for eligible new patients who are adults living in the US and paying outside insurance. It applies only to selected starting strengths: the amounts of medicine prescribed when treatment begins.
Later monthly prices are $349 or $499 under the same terms. Which price applies depends on the amount of medicine prescribed, called its strength.
Ask which of those prices matches your prescription.
The terms checked in September 2026 set December 31, 2026, as the end date for the introductory offer.
These are medicine charges, rather than a quote for a whole care plan. Ask which offer and terms apply to your prescription, including whether it is an injection or a tablet.
Check the end of the terms
Many medicine cash offers and savings cards checked in September 2026 carry terms ending on December 31, 2026.
Request a new quote at that deadline; the expiry date does not reveal the price that follows.
Turn the unclear parts into questions
